Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of this role is to support the Deputy Director for Operations in maintaining efficient office operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing administrative programs and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Preparing official documents and maintaining confidential records.
  • Assisting the Continuity of Operations Planning Committee.
  • Taking meeting notes, transcribing discussions, and conducting necessary research.
  • Drafting responses and managing expense reports for the Deputy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a full-time position with standard work hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break. Secure on-site parking is provided.

Telework Opportunities:
Part-time telework may be available after successfully completing a training period, provided you have a reliable high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location.

Emergency Response Requirements:
In case of emergencies or training exercises, you may be required to travel, work extended hours, and be available on weekends or overnight.

Salary Information:
The starting salary for this position is non-negotiable, and candidates new to the Commonwealth will receive the minimum starting salary as stated in the job posting.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative roles. Formal post-secondary training in secretarial studies may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis, along with any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
Applicants must meet residency requirements and be capable of performing essential job functions.
