Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the needs, strengths, and preferences of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist individuals in navigating job applications, drug screenings, and other employment prerequisites.
  • Build relationships with employers and candidates to address issues, complaints, and progress, recommending solutions as necessary.
  • Promote and develop on-the-job training opportunities in collaboration with employers.
  • Identify and assist in creating additional services to help disadvantaged applicants achieve job readiness.
  • Provide on-site training and support, working alongside clients during their shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrate job tasks to individuals and monitor their performance to ensure comprehension.
  • Seek and secure employment opportunities for individuals through outreach and presentations.
  • Exercise discretion and judgment in significant matters such as job analysis, placements, and terminations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedural compliance.
  • Reassign tasks to individuals based on their capabilities and development.
  • Consult with employers to facilitate effective collaboration with the individuals we support.
  • Transport individuals as required.
  • Document individual training plans and update them as necessary.
  • Provide clear and accurate daily and monthly documentation.
  • Collaborate with other support services and families of individuals served.

This position is ideal for:

  • Individuals entering or re-entering the workforce with limited experience and education.
  • Applicants without a college degree.
