Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

  • Oversee food procurement, inventory management, and the maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Encourage a collaborative atmosphere that fosters creativity and the exchange of ideas for menu innovation.
  • Train staff on menu items, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and flavor profiles.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Manage supply purchases and inventory levels in alignment with budgetary constraints.

  • Collaborate closely with management to align kitchen operations with the restaurant's strategic objectives.
  • Instruct associates on safety protocols and supervise compliance with loss prevention policies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume, full-service environment.
  • Demonstrated culinary expertise with the ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Creative mindset with a keen awareness of emerging food trends and concepts.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to kitchen management.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred qualifications include a college education and/or culinary degree.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
