Overview of the Role

We are seeking a dynamic finance leader to serve as the financial partner for the Product Office CFO. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the financial strategy, encompassing monthly performance analysis, strategic planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, and management reporting, including Quarterly Business Reviews. Collaboration with global Business Unit Finance, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A), and Controlling functions will be essential. The successful candidate will also spearhead initiatives aimed at revenue enhancement and operational efficiency, streamline financial processes, and support integration activities for new deals. This position reports directly to the CFO and will engage with senior business leaders and CFOs across the organization to drive key initiatives.

Key Partnerships

Oversee and coordinate the forecasting and budgeting processes, along with financial reporting and business planning. Lead the business unit CFOs and FP&A teams to achieve financial objectives. Supervise the development and enhancement of Product Profit and Loss statements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitate discussions with the Chief Product Officer (EVP), Product leaders, and their teams to analyze financial data, optimize expenditures, and meet targets. Manage and deliver impactful financial activities, including planning, budgeting, analytics, and expense management.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Take ownership of the budget and forecasting processes for the Product Office; assist in building budgets and forecasts while guiding functions through complex decision-making. Collaborate with finance partners and insight centers on all process aspects, including detailed headcount projections and compensation specifics. Challenge projections to ensure optimization and provide independent oversight on proposed financial forecasts. Prepare comprehensive narratives, draft commentary, and create presentation materials for various meetings, including key committees and quarterly reviews. Lead special projects aimed at enhancing transparency for management and drive these projects to completion, overcoming obstacles and motivating team members. Conduct ad hoc analyses and develop business cases to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions. Mentor and guide team members across global locations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration within a remote team. Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders, including Accounting, FP&A teams, and functional leads, ensuring transparency and consistency.

Managerial Responsibilities

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the managerial scope and the competencies of your team. Ensure that finance staff clearly understand their reporting lines, authority levels, and responsibilities. Foster effective working relationships and communications within the team, ensuring staff are motivated and supported. Establish an oversight framework to identify, escalate, and resolve issues appropriately. Promote a culture of 'Risk Excellence' within the team, encouraging open discussions and effective challenges. Make informed decisions based on the information available, ensuring its adequacy and suitability. Cultivate a sense of individual accountability among team members in their roles. Uphold the highest standards of conduct in personal and team behavior.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Strong executive presence with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across various regions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities. Proven track record in execution, collaboration, and strategic thinking. Commitment to employee development and engagement, with a focus on nurturing future finance talent. Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

Innovative leader with extensive experience in finance and accounting. Over 10 years of leadership experience in Finance & Accounting. Experience in the financial services sector is preferred. Proven ability to manage teams within large, complex organizations. Significant experience overseeing business planning and budgeting processes. Familiarity with management reporting processes. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. An MBA is a plus. A background in strategy or consulting is also advantageous.

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $167,500 Annual
