**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents struggling with mental health challenges.

**Job Summary**

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical evaluation and management services to individuals grappling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This will include initial evaluations, crisis assessments, ongoing treatment, education, and supportive counseling.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide initial evaluations and crisis assessments to individuals living with mental illness and substance use disorders* Offer ongoing treatment and education to patients and their families* Engage in evidence-based medication-assisted therapies (MAT) for opioid use and other substance disorders* Collaborate with consulting physicians to execute practice with integrity and excellence

**Requirements**

To excel in this role, you must possess a Master's Degree with an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with a Psychiatric Nurse/Mental Health Practitioner specialty. A minimum of one year of practical experience working with individuals living with mental illness and substance use challenges is essential.
