Job Overview

Benevolent Family Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Treatment Specialist to join our team on a PRN basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified professional with experience in performing clinical assessments, completing reassessments, and coordinating care with other clinicians. As a Mental Health Treatment Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting initial screenings, intakes, and diagnostic impressions, as well as developing treatment plans to identify service needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessments for prospective clients to determine their eligibility for services.
  • Complete reassessments for clients requiring ongoing support, ensuring their continued placement in the program.
  • Conduct initial screenings, intakes, and diagnostic impressions to establish a comprehensive understanding of each client's needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the identified service needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with other assigned clinicians, the Executive Director, and the team lead to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in the direct delivery of services, within your area of expertise, as needed.
  • Attend regular staff meetings to stay informed about program developments and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of experience providing mental health treatment to adults with mental health issues.
  • One year of experience completing assessments.
  • Good clinical documentation skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral health crisis environment.
  • Licensure Eligibility (LPC, LCSW) in Virginia, supported through registration with the Virginia Department of Health.
Compensation and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits that include professional training opportunities, access to cutting-edge resources, and a supportive work environment.
