About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young individuals facing mental health challenges. As a Case Manager - Child & Adolescent Intensive Care Coordination, you will provide crucial support to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance or Intellectual or Developmental Disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • C coordinate services to meet the unique needs of each child, including family and community engagement.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with families, caregivers, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.

Compensation Package

This position offers a competitive annual salary of $52,518, reflecting the board's commitment to fair compensation for experienced professionals.

About Our Organization

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided essential services to citizens on the Peninsula since 1971. Our continuum of care includes high-quality services for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Services, such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling.
  • At least two years of experience providing children's mental health services to those with a mental health diagnosis.
  • Knowledge and experience with DSM V diagnosing and care management functions.

A valid driver's license is also required. The selected candidate must pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test, and employment reference checks.
