Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our team at Ensono. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support for on-going projects that require the installation, testing, and implementation of new operating systems and other 'system' software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in z/OS systems programming functions, including configuration and customization, setup of parameters, and communication with vendors.
  • Participate in technical projects and contribute to the development of procedures and best practice techniques.
  • Support in solving problems and implementing changes on z/OS environments, including incident, change, and problem handling.
  • Collaborate with team members and other areas to resolve technical questions and problems.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and Unix System Services (USS).
  • Experience installing software within Unix System Services (USS).
  • Ability to work well as a team member, stress resistant in case of Major Incident- and/or emergency situations, and excellent communication abilities.
