Job Summary

FPI Management, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multifamily Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.
    • Conduct repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems, and HVAC systems.
    • Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
    • Clean and maintain common areas, including sweeping, mopping, and garden/yard upkeep.
  • On-Call/After Hours Response
    • Provide emergency maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Unit Turnover
    • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance upon move-in.
    • Coordinate and/or assist in painting vacant apartments.
    • Change out appliances as necessary.
  • Inspections
    • Prepare properties for regulatory inspections, including NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification, preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
