Job Summary:

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 3 to join our team in Olympia, WA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive and reactive maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment, including extruders, corrugators, and downstream equipment.
  • Maintain and build job skills through company training programs and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Contact and order replacement parts and control components from suppliers as needed.
  • Effectively contribute to CMMS performance through timely PM and repair work order completion.
  • Respond to machine problems and contact Electrical Engineering for additional support if needed.
  • Support Daily Management directives and initiatives to improve production efficiencies and safety.
  • Work with production staff to ensure the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technician-level electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic training preferred.
  • Basic PLC and drive training preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with a focus on electrical systems and controls.
  • Plastic process knowledge a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and move heavy items, requiring the ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds to a height of 6 feet.
  • Work specified shifts and move around at all times, requiring the ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours.
  • Work in temperature extremes and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Handle materials daily, requiring the ability to use hands, arms, and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods.
  • Full range of body motion required, including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.

Compensation and Benefits:

$28.00 - $37.50/hour, with competitive medical and retirement benefit programs, including flexible spending accounts, company-paid life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability programs, profit-sharing plan, paid holidays/vacation days, bereavement pay, and jury duty/military leave.
