Job Summary

The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Assistant Deputy Director of the Cleanup Fund Branch. This position is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the Division's administration of the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund and associated programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Cleanup Fund Branch, overseeing the functions of technical and administrative staff engaged in administration of the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund.
  • Develop and implement policies required to effectively administer the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund and associated programs.
  • Oversee the Site Cleanup Subaccount Program, the Emergency, Abandoned & Recalcitrant Program, the Orphan Site Cleanup Program, the Comingled Plume Account, the Replacing, Removing, or Upgrading UST Program, and the Expedited Claim Account Program.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective administration of the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund and associated programs.

Requirements

  • Essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.
  • Current and valid driver's license (if the position requires driving).
