Job Summary

The Clinical Educator II is a key member of the Alameda Health System team, responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that enhance the skills and competencies of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel. This role involves working collaboratively with organizational leaders to assess, plan, and implement educational programs that meet regulatory compliance and professional development needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate education files, including orientation programs, annual skills competencies, and LMS records.
  • Assist with regulatory hospital surveys and develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Organize and present educational in-services on new equipment, policies, procedures, and regulatory updates.
  • Develop monthly and annual education calendars based on identified educational needs.
  • Collect and assess data to determine comprehensive education programs for assigned units/clinics.
  • Develop competency-based hospital orientation programs and assist with new hire onboarding.
  • Evaluate outcomes of educational programs and incorporate findings for continued improvement.
  • Participate in quality performance improvement activities and strategic planning.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a BSN or MSN degree. Three years of relevant nursing experience in an acute care setting, with one year of experience in education program design and evaluation. Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
