Job Overview

The Parts Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the management of parts inventory within the organization. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring efficient inventory operations and maintaining optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Inquiries: Address all parts-related inquiries and requests from vendors and internal personnel promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, manage stock levels, and redistribute surplus parts as necessary.
  • Procurement: Place orders for parts, facilitate deliveries to technicians, and ensure timely availability of necessary components.
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers to obtain purchase order approvals and resolve any billing issues.
  • Documentation: Gather and upload essential paperwork into the CMMS system for accurate record-keeping.
  • Reporting: Generate regular inventory reports as required by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Asset Management: Maintain and update asset records in the Fiix CMMS database, ensuring accuracy in inventory tracking.
  • Shipment Processing: Systematically inventory large shipments of new stock as needed.
  • Supervisory Duties: Provide guidance and oversight to parts room attendants as the operation scales.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting in an inventory management role.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in diverse team environments.
  • Strong self-motivation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations and measurements.
  • Ability to identify parts using various measuring tools.
  • Excellent research skills for sourcing parts efficiently.
  • Creative thinking and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and quick to learn new software systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn about parts and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates, especially in Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in non-climate controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Experience with CMMS or inventory management software.
