The Parts Inventory Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of parts and inventory within our organization. This position involves various responsibilities aimed at ensuring efficient operations and effective communication with vendors and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Inquiries: Address all parts-related inquiries and requests from personnel and suppliers promptly, providing essential information such as cost estimates and procurement timelines.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee parts inventory, conduct regular counts, and manage the redistribution of surplus parts to other facilities or back to suppliers.
  • Ordering and Delivery: Place orders for parts, facilitate part runs, and ensure timely delivery of inventory to technicians and operational teams.
  • Vendor Communication: Engage with suppliers through various communication channels to secure purchase order approvals and resolve billing inquiries.
  • Documentation: Collect and upload necessary documentation into the CMMS system for accurate record-keeping.
  • Reporting: Generate routine inventory reports as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Inventory Tracking: Conduct precise inventory counts and maintain updated records of parts in the Fiix CMMS system.
  • Asset Management: Identify and create asset records, ensuring timely updates in the Fiix CMMS database for new, deleted, or defective parts.
  • Shipment Processing: Systematically inventory large shipments of new stock as required.
  • Supervisory Duties: May oversee and guide parts room attendants as operations expand.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting in an inventory or parts supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Self-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic and measurement identification using various tools.
  • Strong research skills for sourcing parts efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Excel, with a capacity to learn new systems swiftly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand parts and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in non-climate controlled warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Experience with CMMS or inventory management software.
