Job Overview

The Parts Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the management of parts inventory within our organization. This role involves ensuring that all parts information and requests are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Parts Requests: Address all inquiries related to parts from VMI personnel and vendors, providing timely updates on costs, procurement timelines, and inventory status.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, manage stock levels, and redistribute surplus parts as necessary.
  • Order Fulfillment: Process orders for parts, coordinate deliveries to technicians and operations teams, and ensure timely availability of inventory.
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with vendors to secure purchase order approvals and resolve any billing inquiries.
  • Documentation: Gather and upload necessary documentation into the CMMS system for accurate record-keeping.
  • Reporting: Generate inventory reports as requested by the Maintenance Manager to track inventory levels and performance.
  • Asset Management: Create and maintain asset records, updating the Fiix CMMS database with new, deleted, or defective parts.
  • Inventory Audits: Systematically assess large shipments of new inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervisory Duties: Provide guidance and oversight to parts room attendants as operations expand.
  • Safety Compliance: Uphold a safe and compliant working environment in accordance with company policies.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting in an inventory or parts supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Strong self-motivation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory management.
  • Proficiency in identifying parts using various measuring tools.
  • Ability to conduct independent research for sourcing parts.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn about parts and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with using pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Experience with CMMS or inventory management software.
