Job Summary:

The Program Specialist VII will serve as a key member of the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services team, responsible for managing large-scale initiatives aimed at placement stabilization for children in conservatorship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project manage complex initiatives, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to achieve program goals.
  • Develop and implement effective project tracking and analysis systems to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide high-level technical assistance and guidance to team members, ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address program needs, developing and implementing solutions to improve program effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to DFPS leadership, highlighting program achievements and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex initiatives and teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the program area, as well as public administration and management techniques.
Working Conditions:
