Electrical Superintendent Mission Critical Traveler Job Description

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the electrical installation and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Ensure that all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Supervise and train electrical personnel, including electricians, apprentices, and other support staff.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that electrical work is being performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems are designed and installed to meet project requirements.
  • Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols to minimize the risk of electrical accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor and report on electrical system performance, including energy consumption and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, including experience as an electrical superintendent or lead electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA and NFPA 70.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and train electrical personnel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging environments.
