Environmental Specialist

Our Environmental Services team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Scientist to support our diverse range of projects, including energy, power, land development, industrial, and public infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct environmental studies and investigations, such as wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and surveys, and Environmental Site Assessment fieldwork, to support project development.
- Collect, analyze, and manage ecological data from environmental studies and investigations.
- Generate field investigation reports, permit application packages, wetland mitigation plans, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, and other relevant project deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Services team and external/internal project teams to communicate scientific and technical information, along with recommendations, to clients.
- Conduct monitoring efforts during and after project construction to document permit compliance and develop compliance monitoring reports for submittal to federal, state, and local agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, rangeland science, wildlife management, or a related field.
- Good organizational and technical writing skills.
- Effective time-management, written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams (internal and external).
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to conduct fieldwork for long hours in sometimes inclement weather conditions, including walking at least 3-5 miles of rugged terrain in remote locations, and be able to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Knowledge of implementation of the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and NEPA as they relate to environmental permitting/authorization is a plus.
