Job Summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and enriching experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing resident-centered activities and programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
  • Collaborate with the community team to ensure a balanced and diverse activity program that meets the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and schools to secure volunteer support and resources for activities and events.
  • Document and track resident participation, feedback, and outcomes in the Daily Log and Department Log.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as Sunrise quality standards.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by actively participating in team meetings and activities.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in senior living communities or a related field.
  • Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and team members to participate in social events and activities.
  • Current federal and state licenses, such as CDL or chauffeur license, as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate small group presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to make responsible choices and decisions that promote resident well-being.
  • Ability to work semi-independently, following community procedures and guidelines, and to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications, with the ability to learn new applications.
