Job Summary

DMC Receiving Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a full-time night shift position. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests to patients with cardiopulmonary system abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments, evaluate therapy effectiveness, and determine which respiratory care activities can be delegated to other team members.
  • Provide education and training to employees and students on respiratory care procedures and tasks.
  • May serve as an in-charge therapist and preceptor as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an AMA/CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
