Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at WMCHealth. As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for processing and analyzing biological specimens, following established protocols for quality assurance and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and special analysis of specimens according to established protocol.
  • Recognize abnormal or inconsistent test results and follow through accordingly.
  • Review co-workers reports where appropriate, for release.
  • Follow protocol for critical/panic values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' degree or higher for Clinical Laboratory Technologist or substantial equivalence as per New York State Education Department, required.
  • Current licensure in New York State as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist; or verification of pending application to NYS as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and a Limited Permit to Practice Clinical Laboratory Technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in a national accrediting agency.
