Job Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technologist will assume responsibility for following prescribed techniques for producing general and specific x-rays for diagnostic purposes. In addition, they will perform duties as necessary under the direct supervision of an RN, LPN, NP, PA or Physician.

Key Functions:

Explains procedure to patient and fills out preliminary read form.

Performs routine examination as ordered by the medical provider

Adjusts X-ray equipment to proper setting for each exam

Properly shields patient

Maintains records as required by the NYS DOH

Maintains Quality Assurance

Has knowledge of blood borne pathogens and adheres to universal precaution protocols

Perform other clinical Medical Occupational Health Technician duties as assigned including but not limited to: Patient intake and vital signs, Drug and Breath Alcohol Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, EKG, Phlebotomy, Point of care testing, Obtains and prepares specimens for lab testing, assist medical provider as needed and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

A graduate from an accredited program for Radiology Technologist, ARRT certification, current NYS license and BLS certification.

Experience:

New graduates are welcome, 1 year of experience is a plus but not required.

Salary: $28-$33 per hour
