Network Administrator Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Windows Network Administrator to support our IT team at Auto Fit Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our Windows server environments and network infrastructure. They will ensure system availability, security, and performance while providing technical support to users and maintaining documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS, DNS, and DHCP.
• Monitor network performance using cloud-based monitoring tools like n-able, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize system reliability.
• Configure and manage network hardware, including modern enterprise firewalls and layer 3 switches.
• Design and implement redundant site-to-site VPN and client VPN connections for remote employees.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and network resources.
• Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage and maintain multi-site backup repositories, including local, SMB, and cloud-based storage like Wasabi.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Windows Network Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and networking protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V or VMware.
• Familiarity with security best practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, CCNP, CCNA).
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar Microsoft ERP products.

Work Environment

• Base of operation will be in Houston, TX, with occasional travel to other locations.
