Key Responsibilities:

As a Retail Operations Supervisor at Pet Supplies Plus, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our customers and their pets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example to inspire your team, including greeting customers and their pets upon arrival.
  • Building relationships with local pet organizations and coordinating community events.
  • Engaging in discussions with team members to assist customers in selecting the best products for their pets.
  • Analyzing sales performance and collaborating with the Store Manager to develop strategies that enhance sales and customer engagement.
  • Creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for both team members and customers, establishing a reputation for exceptional service.

Essential Duties:

  • Assisting in the overall management of store operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational standards and policies, including cleanliness and safety protocols.
  • Fostering team morale by recognizing achievements and supporting individual career aspirations.
  • Contributing to the recruitment and onboarding processes to maintain a well-staffed team.
  • Encouraging a culture of learning through effective training and development initiatives.
  • Partnering with community organizations to create marketing opportunities and events.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail leadership role.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to operate store equipment, including forklifts, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and reliable transportation are necessary.
