RN Cardiovascular Telemetry Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated RN Cardiovascular Telemetry to join our team at Lee's Summit Medical Center. As a member of our progressive care unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a high-acuity patient population and develop your skills in cardiac care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Our 18-bed unit is a high-acuity focus area, including Chest Pain, Cath Lab post procedure, vascular surgical patients, heart failure, and any patient on CV drip. We have a strong culture and cohesive teamwork, with opportunities to gain certifications and grow towards critical care.
Requirements- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state of Missouri RN licensure required
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required
- BLS certification required at hire and maintained
- ACLS required within 6 months
- Previous clinical experience preferred
Lee's Summit Medical Center is an 80+ bed full-service hospital serving Lee's Summit and surrounding areas. We have more than 300 physicians representing over 40 specialties and a team of over 500 highly trained colleagues and 60 volunteers.
