Job SummaryThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in our 18-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry unit. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Our Cardiovascular Telemetry unit is a high-acuity focus area, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. We care for patients with chest pain, cath lab post-procedure, vascular surgical patients, heart failure, and any patient on CV drip. Our team is known for its strong culture and cohesive teamwork, with opportunities for growth and certification in cardiac skills and critical care.
Requirements- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state of Missouri RN licensure required
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills required
- BLS certification required at hire and maintained
- ACLS required within 6 months
- Previous clinical experience preferred
