We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Rural Health Clinic Nurse to join our team at the City of Lincoln/Lancaster County, NE. As a key member of our Aging Partners service area, you will provide comprehensive foot care and health screenings to older adults and caregivers in rural areas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive foot care using established protocols at foot clinics in rural Aging Partners service areas.
- Operate a City of Lincoln pool car to transport between clinics.
- Educate clients on foot care and provide guidance on how to care for their feet between clinic visits.
- Respond to client questions related to foot care and other health issues within your area of expertise.
- Perform health screenings such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and similar measures as indicated.
- Make referrals to physicians and other health or human services professionals as necessary.
- Work with other Aging Partners staff to ensure client intakes and documentation of services are complete and accurate.
- Assist with health screenings at special events or health fairs on an occasional basis.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
- Experience providing comprehensive foot care and other health screenings.
- Communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with low-income individuals and those with dementia, mental illness, or developmental disabilities.
This is a part-time position working variable days and hours. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for public health, we encourage you to apply.
