Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to lead the delivery of complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and sourcing, with experience in managing large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead individual construction category projects, partnering with the team to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Identify, develop, and deliver long-term sourcing strategies, leading key initiatives with cross-functional teams.
Build relationships and alignment with internal and external stakeholders to effectively plan and deliver site launches.
Own individual targets and goals identified across the NA GC construction category scope, as well as identifying and delivering incremental process and system improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories such as professional services, support, or maintenance spend, supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management.
Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and data cleansing.
Preferred qualifications include PMP, 5+ years of construction cost management experience, and experience being responsible for leading large and complex negotiations.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
