Construction Project Manager

The Project Engineer plays a vital role in facilitating project activities in support of the Project Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring all safety, quality, architectural, engineering, and scheduling requirements are achieved, monitored, documented, and reported.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
- Responsible for assigned Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including submittals, shop drawings, procurement, SCO's, OCO's, PO's, document controls, and others.
- Assist in the management of the project schedule and ensure sufficient support and resources are provided by all subcontractors as required to meet or exceed the schedule.
- Oversee Quality Control by managing the submittal review process, understanding products and materials specified for the project, and determining if the submittals are compliant with the project plans and specifications.
- Develop or assist in the development of all contractual claims to the Owner.
- Clearly and consistently communicate with all project team members, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Enforce the Subcontract Agreement and notify subcontractors of all performance, safety, or quality deficiencies in writing.
- Four-year degree in Construction Management or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of software applications (MS Office/Procore/Bluebeam/Vista), and others.
- Basic understanding of construction industry terminology and documents with the ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance all project stakeholder relationships with the Company.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to recognize how individual actions affect the team as a whole.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and adaptable to changes to planned tasks or schedule.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week or more as may be required.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
- May require repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
- May require prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing throughout workday.
- Willing to travel to various job sites and/or employee recruitment and work locations.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurability as required by the company when job duties require use of motor vehicle.
- Requires exercising of discretion in decision-making process and maintaining of strict confidentiality with respect to applicant, employee, and company proprietary related information.
