Job Summary

CME Group is seeking a highly skilled Director of Securities Clearing Operations to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our securities clearing house, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of trades, and managing a team of professionals to achieve our operational and risk management goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement operational workflows and system testing to support the launch of new securities clearing services
  • Oversee a team responsible for trade submission, settlement, and failed transaction management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external departments, market participants, and settlement banks during US business hours
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of trades and maintain sufficient policies, procedures, and controls to meet our Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Lead the hiring, training, and career progression of staff members
  • Provide critical assessment and resolution of operational system and risk management issues
  • Maintain strong relationships with our customer base
Requirements
  • Knowledge of cash treasury and repo markets
  • Experience in clearing securities transactions at a Clearing Agency, Broker Dealer, or trading firm
  • Strong understanding of operational risk and necessary internal controls as they relate to the clearing infrastructure and risks
  • Ability to manage complex issues and drive towards resolution
  • Prior management experience a plus
  • Ability to work well across teams
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
