We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Security Officer to join our team at The Clearing House. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility and its occupants.
Key Responsibilities- Access Control: Control access to the facility, screening visitors and employees in an efficient manner to expedite their admittance.
- Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor site for suspicious behavior, unlawful guests, safety hazards, and inclement weather.
- Communication and Response: Receive and escalate emergency notifications and requests for assistance from employees, both on-site and while traveling.
- Logistics and Reporting: Prepare logs and reports as required for post, documenting information using standard grammar.
- Incident Response: Follow procedure to support incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incident conditions.
- Previous Security Experience: Previous experience in a security role, preferably with a focus on access control and surveillance.
- Detail-Oriented and Organized: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with visitors and staff at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting priorities, with a professional demeanor and self-motivated attitude.
- State Security License: Current or eligibility for a State Security License.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Military/Law Enforcement Experience: Military or law enforcement experience, which may qualify as previous security experience.
- Dispatching Experience: Experience with dispatching personnel or emergency communication.
- Sitting, Walking, and Lifting: Ability to sit, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, with regular breaks and opportunities for rest.
- Attendance and Punctuality: Outstanding attendance and punctuality, with a commitment to being on time and ready to work.
- Professional Presentation: Professional presentation, including proper uniform and personal hygiene.
- Courteous and Strong Communication: Courteous and strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with visitors and staff.
- Awareness of Surroundings: Awareness of surroundings, with the ability to identify and respond to potential security threats.
We offer a competitive hourly pay range of $20-$22/hour, with discretionary incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k plan with company contribution and company match, tuition reimbursement, and more.
