Team Leader Role

The Team Leader at Gregorys Coffee is essential in supporting store operations. This role involves directing baristas, assigning tasks, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring a positive customer experience in the absence of the Store Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Team Leader, you will embody the brand and foster a positive culture for both your team and customers. Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to, the following key areas.

People Management

You will:
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for your team and customers
  • Collaborate with your team to craft specialty coffee and espresso drinks, including latte art (training provided)
  • Guide baristas on brand standards, food safety, and customer interaction
  • Assign baristas to specific tasks and support their ability to fulfill barista duties
  • Act as the store's brand representative in customer recovery and overall experience
Store Management

You will:
  • Ensure effective task delegation according to the time of day while maintaining store standards
  • Assist the Store Leader with inventory management by conducting accurate counts, placing orders, and ensuring pastry case standards are met
  • Support the Store Leader in cash management by adhering to cash handling protocols and overseeing baristas' cash handling
  • Serve as Manager on Duty in the Store Leader's absence, ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards are upheld
Qualifications:
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Proven excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Intermediate coffee knowledge, beyond basic understanding
  • Demonstrated history of maintaining brand standards
