Primary Responsibilities of the Operations Relief Supervisor:

  • Provide coverage for General Managers on leave by enforcing company policies, inventory management practices, etc.
  • Review implementation and assist at centers to ensure adherence to all programs.
  • Engage in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.
  • Recruit and train new team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail or a related service industry with accountability for financial outcomes and customer satisfaction
  • Proven management experience in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) responsibility
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:


The role involves moderate risks or discomfort that necessitate special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machinery, fumes, or irritant chemicals.

Protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields, may be required.

Physical Requirements:


The position demands some physical exertion, including extended periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, navigating spaces, repositioning to reach and utilize tools, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs., either assisted or unassisted.
