Instructor of Language Arts

Key Responsibilities:- Deliver an Engaging Curriculum: Utilize our specially designed curriculum and resources tailored for advanced learners to facilitate small group classes in language arts.
- Foster Student Engagement: Actively involve students in the learning process, promoting student-led discussions and activities.
- Manage Classroom Dynamics: Effectively oversee a classroom of up to 16 students.
- Assess and Provide Feedback: Evaluate student performance and offer constructive feedback on assessments.
- Build Strong Relationships: Establish connections with students and their families to positively influence their educational experiences.
- Encourage a Love for Learning: Inspire students to develop a passion for language arts and critical thinking skills.
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- A degree in education or a related humanities field is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of reading, writing, and grammar concepts.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring is essential.
- Prior classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is advantageous.
Note:
- A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
- This position involves teaching in an afterschool program, with classes scheduled in the evenings and on weekends. Availability during weekday after-school hours (starting as early as 4 PM) and/or weekends is necessary.
- A minimum commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class is expected.
- Each course is conducted once a week for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
