Your Role:- Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Implement our unique curriculum to instruct language arts to small groups of gifted students.
- Foster Student Participation: Encourage student-driven learning and actively engage students during lessons.
- Manage Classroom Dynamics: Successfully oversee classes of up to 16 students.
- Offer Constructive Feedback: Assess student work and provide meaningful feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Build Connections: Establish rapport with students and their families to support their educational paths.
- Encourage a Love for Learning: Inspire curiosity and critical thinking in the realm of language arts.
- A Bachelor's degree, ideally in education or the humanities.
- Solid understanding of reading, writing, and grammar.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching at the K-12 level is advantageous.
Work Schedule:
- Availability required on weekdays during after-school hours and weekends.
- Initial commitment of around 3 hours per week for each class.
- Classes convene once a week for a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
- Hourly rate of $30
