Community Family Engagement Specialist Position

The City of Cambridge Massachusetts is looking for a committed Community Family Engagement Specialist. This role is integral to the Department of Human Service Programs, focusing on facilitating engaging playgroups and linking families to essential community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach to all families in Cambridge with young children, emphasizing support for underrepresented communities.
  • Lead weekly playgroups designed for parents/caregivers and their children.
  • Collaborate with various organizations to enhance family support.
  • Organize and take part in community activities and events.
  • Offer information and referrals to families requiring assistance.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in early childhood education is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
