Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visionary Leadership and Team Development: Establish and articulate a compelling vision and strategic objectives for the client service team, adhering to Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) principles. Provide mentorship and support to Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and Bookkeepers, ensuring optimal resource management and professional growth.
  • Client Engagement and Quality Assurance: Cultivate robust client relationships, guarantee exceptional levels of client satisfaction, and maintain rigorous quality control standards for deliverables. Address client inquiries related to reporting, strategy, and taxation.
  • Tax Strategy and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of business and individual tax returns, generate tax projections, and respond to client tax notifications. Develop personal and corporate tax planning documents, and adjust clients' payroll settings as necessary.
  • Performance Evaluation and Regulatory Compliance: Design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team effectiveness, make informed decisions based on data, and ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Consultative and Analytical Services: Deliver monthly or quarterly advisory services, provide insights on organizational and compensation frameworks, and assist with entity formation and employee incentive programs. Support clients in navigating government programs and grant opportunities.
  • Leadership Contribution: Act as a vital member of the Leadership team, participate in Leadership meetings, contribute to company-wide decision-making, implement overarching processes, and evaluate potential new hires.

Additional Important Details:

  • Full-time remote position with a flexible schedule and comprehensive company benefits.
  • Experience in public accounting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Xero software is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of EOS principles is advantageous.
  • Manage a team of approximately 12, with 3-4 Senior Accountants reporting directly to this role.
  • Utilize Ultratax for tax returns; Onvio is currently the tax organizer, with plans to transition to Canopy.
