Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced production supervisor to join our team at our new facility in Washington, MO. As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of production workers on a shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve work issues and assist and coach employees in solving work problems.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Collaborate with other management to coordinate production activities with other departments.
  • Document shift incidents and accidents.
  • Improve production goals and KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a plant environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus.
  • Process control experience a plus.
  • Steel, slitting, coil coating, and other steel-related experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and direct production employees.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours in response to customer demands and production matters.
  • Willing and able to work an afternoon or night shift position.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
