About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Michael Page as a Senior Estimator for Public Works Construction in Orange County. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing preliminary budgets, milestone cost estimates, and final bid proposals for various types of commercial and multifamily construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
  • Prepare and submit proposals within tight deadlines and follow up until closed
  • Facilitate an effective hand-off to the project manager
  • Monitor budgets throughout the construction process
  • Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders
  • Update and maintain accurate pipeline reports, track leads, bookings, forecasting, and reporting
  • Build and lead a small department of estimating professionals
  • Flexible enough to handle some project management duties
  • Ability to lead from the front and utilize technology to actualize on effective project and cost delivery
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields preferred but not required
  • 3-6 years of experience with projects with a budget of $25M+
  • Excellent track record as an estimator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as Timberline
  • Team player to work with various individuals from project start to finish
