Asphalt Laborer

**Job Summary**

Barriere Construction Company, a leading asphalt and concrete paving, highway, and heavy civil construction company, is seeking an experienced Asphalt Laborer to join our North Shore team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Prepare utility pipe for crew
• Cut and haul materials
• Perform hand grading and checking string lines
• Ensure job site housekeeping and safety protocol
• Lay out job materials according to plan
• Perform beginning and end of day set-up and clean-up

**Requirements:**

• Minimum 1 year experience in road or construction field
• Minimum 1 year experience in underground utility work
• Minimum 1 year experience working outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to read and understand simple directions
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple mathematical equations

**Physical Demands:**

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions
• Ability to lift 51 pounds

**Equipment Requirements:**

• Able to work with a wheelbarrow
• Able to operate a Wacker
• Able to use hand tools
