Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct various tests and project-specific observations under supervision, adhering to established procedures.
- Operate testing apparatus and perform assessments on materials such as soil and concrete, compiling data for reporting.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams to guide testing and assessment processes.
- Document detailed observations and provide preliminary interpretations of test results.
- Maintain comprehensive records of test outcomes and related data.
- Utilize mathematical skills to compute test results accurately.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project teams regarding findings and progress.
- Adhere to safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety on-site.
- Basic proficiency in mathematics, calculator usage, and computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to read and comprehend work plans.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift, move, push, and pull weights ranging from 30 to 50 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Capacity to receive detailed auditory information and distinguish sounds.
- Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional climbing may be required.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience in field or laboratory construction materials testing is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Certifications such as ACI/ICC/FDOT are preferred.
