Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee craft employees and ensure projects are completed safely and on time. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Supervise and manage craft employees to ensure project goals are met.
- Collaborate with engineers and job teams to determine project needs and develop effective solutions.
- Utilize equipment, materials, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs.
- Set performance goals and deadlines, and coordinate with superintendents and foremen to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
- Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, and inform project and corporate management as necessary.
- Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, equipment requirements, and tracking material stock and orders.
- Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards.
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documents.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
- General computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel).
- Organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with cranes is preferred.
- Ability to manage and inspire others.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Ability to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies, and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift for long periods of time.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and stairways, and work from platforms.
- Ability to work outside in the elements, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, and work for periods of up to 12 hours a day.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
- Perform work safely and effectively, and understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines, and work overtime and weekends as required.
