Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities for ground-up and exterior projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and trades to maintain project timelines and quality standards for large-scale construction projects.
  • Oversee site preparation, foundation work, framing, and other major construction phases.
  • Conduct regular inspections and provide progress updates to project managers, ensuring work adheres to architectural and engineering plans.
  • Resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid project delays, including unforeseen site conditions or subcontractor challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Oversee material deliveries, resource allocation, and equipment management for large, heavy machinery and construction materials.
  • Manage and supervise multiple crews and trades, ensuring productivity and quality at each stage of the build.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and reports on project status, budget adherence, and change orders.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up and general construction projects.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects from start to completion.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with Jersey City and New Jersey building codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and construction technology.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
