Key Responsibilities:

The Third-Party Patient Care Coordinator (LPN) plays a crucial role in assisting the IVF Nurse Coordinator (RN) in managing egg donor patient care, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, and providing exceptional customer service in infertility care. This position collaborates closely with physicians to facilitate patient treatment plans and consult on medication and testing protocols.

  • Support the RN with initial patient consultations and assist clinical staff.
  • Conduct checklist and chart audits for established patient plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient consent forms, alerting the RN to any issues.
  • Ensure completion of necessary preconceptual labs and screenings.
  • Send abnormal lab results to the RN for physician evaluation.
  • Maintain patient records during ART meetings.
  • Verify completion of IVF/FET care plans.
  • Coordinate treatment schedules with the RN and physicians.
  • Manage the release and acquisition of medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Oversee lab work for out-of-town patients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment processes.
  • Assist in reinforcing education provided by the IVF Nurse Coordinator.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients and clinical teams within the LPN scope.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment and engage in team meetings.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to facilitate efficient patient care.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with policies.
  • Review charts prior to procedures to confirm all consents are signed.
  • Document patient advanced directives in their EMR.
  • Support the RN during emergency situations with knowledge of protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed Practical Nurse Certification
  • Current State LPN License
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an LPN role
  • Preferred experience in Ob/Gyn settings
Working Conditions:

This position requires physical demands typical of a clinical office environment, including the use of standard office equipment and regular communication with colleagues and patients. The role involves sitting, standing, and using hands for various tasks. Visual acuity is necessary for data analysis and extensive reading.

Compensation:

The salary range reflects the national average for this role, with variations based on location, experience, and skills. Total compensation may include bonuses and flexible work arrangements.
