Primary Care Physician

Valor Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Washington, PA. As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide high-quality medical care to our veterans, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with a range of medical conditions
- Develop and implement patient management plans, working closely with our core PACT team and expanded PACT team
- Order and perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medication, and recommend dietary and activity programs as needed
- Counsel patients on the use of prescription medications, educate patients, and assess mental health issues
- Evaluate patients' records from medical providers outside the VA and work with these patients utilizing rules set forth by the VA for co-managed care
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree
- Board certified in family practice or internal medicine
- Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA)
- Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment or any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements
- Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS, as specified by individual VAMC contract
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Excellent computer skills
- Energetic and optimistic demeanor
- Strong service mentality and a focus on achieving all aspects of defined service standard
Valor Healthcare operates over 50 VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in the United States as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We provide a full range of medical services to veterans through the operation of CBOCs, tailored to meet the specific needs of local VA medical centers.
