About the Role

The Department of Justice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Program Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for supervising district administrative personnel and providing support services to ensure the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of administrative staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality support services.
  • Work closely with the Administrative Officer to implement processes and procedures for providing administrative services to the district's main and/or sub-office(s).
  • Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and assistance to management on human resources matters and issues.
  • Oversee the property management program to ensure accurate tracking and control of government equipment, material, and supplies.
  • Assure contractors are performing projects with quality and timeliness measures in place.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and Public Trust background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
  • May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probation period.
  • Status Candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
  • Applicants must meet all qualifications requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.
Qualifications
  • One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level.
  • Must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
    • Providing oversight of office administrative services to investigate, evaluate, and resolve problems and conditions.
    • Monitoring a budget to ensure funds are obligated.
    • Compiling, reviewing, and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy.
    • Serving as a liaison between management and the human resources office to provide advice and assistance on HR matters.
    • Monitoring, approving, and controlling accountable government equipment, material, and supplies.
