Job Title: Field Support Specialist

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Field Support Specialist to join our team. As a Field Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of employee and project files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative duties, including composing routine correspondence and coordinating activities.
  • Assist in filing, copying, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and transfer calls.
  • Check the quality of your own work.
  • Assist in coordinating meeting arrangements and catering services for department functions.
  • Order project or department supplies and maintain the supply cabinet.
  • Assist in distributing incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Stay up-to-date on project and department systems, services, and procedures.
  • Process various procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in data entry using project databases within assigned departments.
  • Maintain punctuality and a dependable level of attendance in accordance with project work rules.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
Workforce Training Instructor:

As a Workforce Training Instructor, you will be responsible for the Skill Verification, Competent to Operate program (CTO), and training Craft Professionals.

  • Support the Craft Professional training program on the project.
  • Conduct NCCER project-specific training.
  • Ensure that training and assessment programs are consistent with NCCER.
  • Provide training to all levels of helpers, journeymen, foremen, and general foremen.
  • Responsible for Craft Competency Compliance to ES&H Core Processes and SWPPs.
  • Maintain good communication with the leaders of each trade associated with the project to define needs and provide construction support with any specific training.
  • Support recruitment when needed by interviewing potential Crafts applying for jobs with technical questions to ensure we hire Craft Professionals with the desired experience.
  • Keep in mind and share with our Craft Professionals the Vision, Values, and Commitments (VV&C) letter of our company.
  • Update all material for each trade when appropriate, considering presentations, theoretical, and practical test formats.
  • Perform field visits to assess and verify the progress of the skills taught in the training.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable work experience with 10 years of experience in construction.
  • Excellent communication skills, writing, and time management skills.
  • Participate in the setup and maintenance of training facilities.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience of one or more discipline skill sets (Mechanical, Piping, Structural, Rigging, Electrical, etc.).
  • Ability to relate to Client, Management, Supervision, and teamwork.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable.
  • Supervision experience is desirable.
  • Experience in formal or informal teaching/training/instruction is desirable.
