Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Project Director to join our Charlotte, North Carolina operations. The successful candidate will have excellent client interaction skills and the ability to manage and lead planning and design teams for multi-discipline projects and programs of work in the fields of large diameter conveyance, water and wastewater pumping systems, and water/wastewater treatment projects.

Responsibilities

As a Water Infrastructure Project Director, you will:

  • Manage multi-million dollar planning and design projects, including managing project teams and developing scope and budget.
  • Work with local sales staff on business development strategies for existing and new clients, including pursuit of alternative project delivery opportunities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of design drawings and specifications on large, complex, multi-discipline design projects.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and schedules while managing the firm's risk.
  • Provide high-level planning and program analysis work, including preparation of technical documents and reports.
  • Stay active in the water/wastewater industry, keeping abreast of emerging technologies, research/development opportunities, and conference/committee participation in professional societies.
  • Assist in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of related experience, with PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire or promotion).
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required, with the frequency contingent on specific duties and responsibilities.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, our company offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Location

This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with potential for remote work. We offer a hybrid work environment, with a balance of in-office and remote work.
