JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The sales associate role is essential for ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, maintaining cleanliness, merchandising, pricing, cash register operations (POS), and adhering to all company policies and standards.
Essential Functions

- Ensure that every customer receives outstanding service by fostering a welcoming environment, greeting and acknowledging each guest, and maintaining high standards of service.
- Stay informed about all product details, promotional offers, and advertisements.
- Restock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise as needed.
- Set up promotional displays or arrange products to enhance sales opportunities.
- Label merchandise with accurate pricing.
- Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise.
- Answer inquiries regarding product location, pricing, and usage.
- Package merchandise for customers efficiently.
- Maintain accurate sales records, prepare inventory, and order stock as necessary.
- Keep the sales floor organized and tidy.
- Support merchandising efforts, display maintenance, and overall store cleanliness.
- Assist in processing and replenishing stock; participate in receiving and monitoring inventory; ensure timely re-wrapping of products.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices, including pricing and loss prevention protocols.
- Accurately process all sales transactions and maintain accountability for cash and media at POS registers.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in a retail environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and other necessary tools.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job duties.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
1-3 years of experience in sales; Spanish speaking is preferred.
