Department Overview:

The IT Meter to Cash Application Development team is dedicated to the software development and implementation of innovative functionalities within the Customer Care and Billing system and its Direct Interfaces.

This team collaborates closely with the IT business analyst group to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.


Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Level IT applications design analyst within the Customer Information team who is a quick learner, detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to fast-paced and dynamic environments.

The analyst will primarily focus on evaluating business requirements and crafting functional requirement and design documents.

Additionally, the analyst will assess operational and project defects to determine their business and technical implications, providing recommendations for resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Ideation:
  • Collaborate with business units to offer insights on enhancement feasibility.
  • Utilize business process knowledge to proactively identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Evaluate and provide input on business needs and requirements.
  • Prepare estimates for customer requests.
  • Create preliminary mockups and designs.

Project Management:
  • Analyze and compile functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in designing, testing, and developing applications.
  • Conduct feasibility analyses and offer recommendations on alternative solutions, project strategies, and deliverable prioritization.
  • Prepare comprehensive functional requirement and design documents.
  • Facilitate walkthroughs of deliverables with business and IT stakeholders to secure approval.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for developers and testers.
  • Collaborate with business teams to document and analyze project change controls.
  • Support the stabilization of deployed code.

Maintenance:
  • Troubleshoot potential system issues to identify defects.
  • Analyze production defects, assess business and system impacts, and quantify issues.
  • Contribute to defect troubleshooting and solution design.
  • Assist business and technical teams with ad hoc requests.
  • Provide functional expertise to clients for resolving business challenges.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in analyzing, designing, and developing functional requirements and UX/UI design.
  • Experience in Project Management of high complexity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the utility industry.
  • Familiarity with CC&B Application.
  • Oracle Utility C2M certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Oracle CC&B applications and data modeling.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL experience).
  • Understanding of UML.
  • Able to work independently while being part of a team.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency and consistency in system enhancements.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM application and data model.
  • Experience with Call Center and/or Back Office centric business operations.
  • Understanding of database/schema architecture.
